radio2XS on iPhones

To help you to listen to us on your iPhone or iPod Touch, here are some tips. First, you can just try opening the Quicktime page of our own here (copy that page link onto your iPhone). If that doesn't work, we have tested two free Apps: FStream and Radio StreamItAll. They both work, so why pay? Both are in the App Store. Also available isTunemark, but you gotta pay for it...

FStream as it is completely free, our aac+ stream sounds superb with it, and it shows 'Now Playing' song & artist info. Unfortunately, it only works for us in the UK using WiFi. There is an option to use Cellular connection, but this doesn't seem to work onh some networks. If you know why, please email us!

Radio StreamItAll is also free and works on both WiFi and Cellular but doesn't show 'Now Playing' song and artist info unless you buy the upgrade.

Below are screen shots of how to get radio2XS playing on both. We have used the aac+ stream: (http://radio2XS.com/radio2XS.m3u)
but our lo-fi stream may be more stable in areas of poorer coverage:

FStream

Open FStream

Tap <Favourites> at the bottom

Tap <Edit>

Tap <Add new webradio>

Enter the settings (format and bitrate can be left blank) then tap <Done>

Tap <Done> again (also tap the red <'-' new> to delete any default station you don't need)

Turn on WiFi and tap <Play>!

Radio StreamItAll

Open Radio StreamItAll

Tap <'+'> at the top right (to remove any unwanted default stations)

Tap <Enter>

Enter the Name, URL and bitrate. (48 for aac+ and 32 for mp3).
Now tap <Close>, which Saves it

Brilliant, now tap <RADIO2XS> and listen away!

What an accomplishment!
